Surfrider Foundation Beach Clean Sweep and Movie

There are two great events this Saturday (4/25). Here is a brief description of each.

Beach Sweep - Saturday Morning/Afternoon (4/25) 9-12:30PM - Clean Ocean Action''s Beach Sweeps is one of the longest running cleanups in the world. The cleanup first started in 1985 at Sandy Hook with 75 volunteers. Today, this bi-annual event includes beaches, rivers, lakes streams, and underwater cleanups. Since 1985, over 70,000 volunteers have participated and removed over 3 million pieces of debris from New Jersey''s beaches and waterways. Get invloved, make a difference, and help clean up your local beach!

The Present - Saturday Night (4/25) - Showing of Thomas Campbell surf movie, The Present, at 7 PM at the Paramount Theater in Asbury Park. You may know his previous films, Sprout and The Seedling and this highly anticipated film is supposed to be his best work yet. Lots of logging, hot free surfers like Dave Rastovich, and some of the best female surfing in Indo ever captured on film.

Hope to see you there. Aloha!
