What's Hot From Sector 9 and Gullwing (New Trucks)

And now for the sales pitch from Sector 9 about the Gullwing Stalker

Hold on…wait a minute…check this out….

Have you ever wanted a quieter, smoother and less chatter of a ride? This is the truck for you!!! With a Urethane bushing shock system built inside the hanger you will silently fly by your buddies before they know what happened…and now turn into that corner with confidence because your board is gripping the road better than you’ve ever felt! Try some today and see what the hype is about…

We should have them in stock soon, just ordered a ton of them the other day.

Hoffart Shows How To Bondo Cracks

A lesson for you all.

New 'No League' series from REAL and Busenitz, Ramondetta, Dompierre

The No League series from REAL is in!

The site has them still as 'out' because they are just coming off the truck, but they'll be ready to ship by the end of the day. Im pretty stoked on this series- it has a wide range of shapes/sizes, solid graphics, and some rad softgoods to go with it. How cool is that soccer style jersey?

Max's Oakland themed No League board is one of my favorites and after watching episode 1 of his Epicly Later'd, it will probably be yours too. Check it out

New Brian Anderson SPITFIRE Wheel and Video

I'm stoked to say that we have a new Spitfire wheel for one of my all-time favorite skateboarders, Brian Anderson! Check out the video he put together to explain the idea behind the wheel and for some clips of him cruising through SF (nose manual powerslide???).

He's next up over at Epicly Later'd on VBS, check out the trailer:

We're stocked up on the new Fall Spitfire Wheels! New wheels from BA, Ramondetta, Silas, Lizard King, Koston, and more...

Real and Spitfire AM Davis Torgerson gives one hell of a tour of Minneapolis over at the Etnies site.

Pretty stoked for the weekend- going to a show tonight, skating all day tomorrow, then my buddy is having his birthday at what I like to call the 'fat kid' bar. They have fried twinkies, tater tots, macaroni, nachos, and chili dogs all at the bar.

A Day in the Life with Eric Dressen!!

Part 3 of 4 of the Specialty Sports Fall Online Catalog is live but who cares about that, check out this awesome 'Day in the Life' of Eric Dressen video. He talks about what he's up to now, tattoo's the bighead on his buddy, and then tears up his local park.

Be sure to pick up some of his new Lifer wheels in a 51 or 56mm! Don't forget about the other Lifers too- Salba and Grosso have some pretty rad wheels too.

Drehobl, Peabody, and a bunch of other dudes are on a northwest skatepark tour right now. Check out the latest update via Thrasher. That park looks awesome, who's down for a NW tour??

REAL Max Schaaf 4Q Board!

Max Schaaf, as many of you already know, runs an awesome blog filled with old pictures of motorcycles, skateboarding (the last post with the Gonz was really cool), the bikes he builds, and whatever else he's stoked on. It's definitely worth adding to your list of websites to check out.

Needless to say, REAL did a collab board based on a drawing his good buddy and local tattoo artist Nick Rodin did. 4Q meets Olympia Beer...winning combination in my book!

It's an 8.25 and ready to ship! Get em before they're gone.

New Spitfire Clear Cuts!

Spitfire's new Clear Cut wheels are in stock and they're sick. Don't believe me? Just ask Brad Cromer.

How rad was that backside flip? Brad (not me) definitely took advantage of the hard urethane core and the cutaway shape, which gave him a firmer and lighter ride thus allowing such a proper backside flip (and the Krooked board and Thunder trucks, of course, but that goes without saying).

If you haven't already, head over to the http://www.fourstarclothing.com/ website and watch their new Euro tour video. A bunch of your favorite Spitfire riders are in it- Howard, Schaaf, Malto, Bledsoe, Gonz, Torgerson, Brophy, BA, Mariano...

Lee Bender Update

Number two in a multi-part series: From the heartland, a look at a few of the real people adversely affected by our health care system today. Part two looks at Lee Bender, a former pro skater who was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Despite comparatively good coverage he faces over $36,000 in debt for treatment over the last 18 months.

This video update from Lee updates his status, shows some rad skating, and sheds some light into how we can help make things better for him.

Proceeds from his Actions Realized REAL board go directly to Lee to help him out.

New Tech: Powell Skateboards LIGAMENT Technology

All Powell Skateboard decks come with Skate One's new LIGAMENT technology.

* Greater pop for higher ollies
* Stiffer, longer lasting flex for increased board life
* The confidence that comes from knowing your deck will never break in two
* All the above at no extra cost

Good skaters are hard on boards. They don't miss little tricks, they miss big ones, and they break decks. Sometimes they break themselves too. We developed LIGAMENT™ technology for our team after watching one of Jordan Hoffart’s especially nasty video slams at the bottom of a big rail gap.

LIGAMENT technology consists of inlaying three long strips of high strength polymeric strap into the middle of each deck. These reinforcing straps are strong and flexible, like the ligaments that connect your muscles to your bones. Even when you break the board, the ligament straps will hold your deck together allowing you to ride out of it, instead of doing the groin-tearing splits. LIGAMENT™ decks weigh the same as a 7-ply maple deck, but have more pop, stay stiff longer than ordinary boards, and prevent the deck from ever breaking into two pieces because of the the three ligaments in each one.

Powell LIGAMENT decks are manufactured by Skate One, in Santa Barbara, California. They combine our thirty-three years of skateboard manufacturing experience, the world's finest materials, and Skate One’s new LIGAMENT™ technologyto give you more pop, longer board life, and extra confidence when you go big.

The Powell team gave LIGAMENT boards two thumbs up after months of testing. So much that we will be making all our Powell Skateboards with LIGAMENTS by the summer of 2009 because they are superior to a standard 7-ply, and we know any skater who has ever broken a board will appreciate LIGAMENT™ technology when it saves his groin.

Look for LIGAMENT on the rail of a Powell deck for greater pop, more confidence and increased board life.

Snow on Mansfield Yesterday AM!!

Krooked Guest Boards...Koston!

The Fall 09 Krooked Guest Boards are in!!

Do I need to say anything about Eric Koston? The guy has been killing it since the early 90's (remember the H-Street days?) and is one of everyone's all-time favorite skateboarders. His Krooked guest board is limited to 600 and is the perfect 8.06 size. Get em before they're gone!

Joe Brook is an amazing photographer (check out his website here) and Im stoked for his guest board (check out that shape!). He's been shooting photos of skateboarding since forever ago and has been working as the photo editor at Slap for the past 10 years. His stuff is really cool, I recommend checking out his website and picking up a couple of these boards before it's too late.
